Concerning Famous Women

Concerning Famous Women
By Boccaccio, translated by Guido A. Guarino
251p

Okay. I guess. One thing that shows clearly- he's not a big fan of women having sex! Wow, how many women did he condemn for enjoying sex with their husbands? Or I think he put it as only being acceptable for having children. Was this book taken seriously? It seems to have been. On one hand, first women's biography, yeah! On the other, misogenistic overtones almost invalidate that. I learned yesterday that blatant, disgusting misogeny is still alive and not just in the movies and on tv. It's sickening.
