Princess Sultana’s Daughters

Princess Sultana’s Daughters

The first of this series of three books, Princess was an amazing book. I’m thrilled that I can finally read the 2nd (and 3rd) volumes. This is a brave, brave woman, especially when she reveals in the beginning of this book that her family has figured out who she is. The stories she tells are heartbreaking and yet infinitely important to be told. It is wonderful to hear a woman’s perspective of this region, hearing of the restraints that even her great wealth can’t shield her from. Some of the stories, many of the stories, are hard to read. The horrors that these women have to face is unimaginable to me. These books definitely open my eyes to things that, honestly, I’d rather not know about. But it is so important for everyone to know about these things, otherwise things will never be changed.
