He Sees You When You're Sleeping

He Sees You When You're Sleeping
By Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark

Very cute and very good! How does an angel get his wings? Well, I'm sure not like this, but it's still a great story, moving and sweet and devious all at once.

The Secret Bride: In the Court of Henry VIII

The Secret Bride: In the Court of Henry VIII
By Diane Haeger

I love the story of Mary Tudor and how she made her way in her brother's court, so this book was very welcome! Very fun, good to hear about the good side of Henry VIII- the one that actually loved some people in his life and didn't cut their heads off!

Helen of Troy

Helen of Troy
By Margaret George
31 hours (book on CD)

I really couldn't stand her at times! Spoiled little brat, didn't seem to care that she launched a war and was the cause of so many deaths. Couldn't give up her love for the good of everyone else. I couldn't even forget that I knew how it was going to end, numerous times I yelled at her to take a chance and avoid the war! (Yes, actually yelled, I was listening to it in my car so there was no one to hear me!) Despite that, it was amazingly detailed and movingly written. It's not often that I dislike a main character so much and yet adore the book anyway.

Funny. Nothing really earth-shattering or anything I'll remember forever, but amusing.

A Lady, First

A Lady, First
By Letitia Baldridge

She had a very interesting life, and didn't take it for granted, which is always nice! She knew how lucky she was even while it was happening. Interesting and fun read, she seems like a great lady!
